Prof. Nimrod Moiseyev in the I-CORE group research:
We use theoretical tools to study and analyze phenomena resulting from the interaction of high intensity lasers with atomic and molecular systems. The same formalism is useful also in the study of light propagation in optical waveguides   As such we develop numerical methods which give a better physical intuition to the coupled system of matter and radiation. The theoretical framework we established enables the prediction and realization of new phenomena which could not be otherwise observed with existing theoretical methods. In this context we study phenomena related to the existence of exceptional points (EP) in the spectrum of non-hermitian quantum systems as well as the molecular dynamics resulting from light induced conical intersections.
